International Certified Educators (ICE)
An ICE is an Internationally Certified Educator of Akzentz Professional Products. These individuals have gone through years of vigorous training and experience in the industry to obtain Akzentz highest status, and strive as Nail Professionals while representing Akzentz through businesses, trade shows and classes all over the globe.
Deborah Jacklin was the first person to reach the ICE level with Akzentz and teaches all levels of nails technicians. This includes New Nail Technicians right through Akzentz Educators. Her extensive nail career started in 1986, wherein she graduated from the Suzanne Randall Nail Academy in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Since that time, Deborah has been a lead educator for many nail organizations in the industry. In 2002, Deborah came on board with Akzentz Professional and has worked closely with both educating and distributing the Akzentz Professional Gel & Acrylic lines. Deborah has been featured in international magazines, has been a Head Nail Competition Judge for the ABA, has her own series of DVD’s and is a mentor to many nail technicians. She has trained with some of the top trainers in the industry, including the late Vicky Peters. Deborah is the founder of DK Beauty Systems and has retail store locations in Calgary as well as Medicine Hat with new locations planned for 2016.
Gina Silvestro is known world-wide as one of the leading nail professionals in the industry. She is a master nail artist, award winning competitor, ICE educator, competition judge, owner of Gel Essentialz Salon & Distribution, and a cover artist with 6 covers under her belt. Her client list has included some of the world’s biggest A-list celebrities, including Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga and the Victoria’s Secret Angels.
As one of the original educators for The High Road To Education (HRTE) Gina has worked alongside leading educators of the world and she is a firm believer that education is the true key to success. In 2013 she retired from servicing clients to dedicate herself to education on a full-time basis. With over 25 years experience in the industry and 10 years as an Akzentz International Educator (ICE) Gina still takes every opportunity to further her own education and to stay on the cusp of the latest trends and techniques.
Viv Simmonds is the Director of VIVid Nails and Pure Bronze & Beauty. With over 26 years of industry experience, Viv has achieved International status & recognition through her accomplishments. Winning Nail Competitions including, the title of ‘Australian Champion’ for 5 consecutive years, the Australian ‘Champion of Champions’ title, EzFlow Educator of the Year Award and many more awards and titles in Australia. In the past few years, Viv has taken 1st, 2nd & 3rd place trophies in Asia, America and Europe. With this success, Viv has had the opportunity to become a judge for Nail Competitions Internationally. Viv has created 7 front covers for leading International Nail Magazines and Trade Books and has been listed in the Who’s Who of Australian Women 2010 and 2011. She has also been featured on television, in industry and commercial magazines in Australia and Internationally. Viv’s accomplishments have taken her all over the world, conducting training events in Advanced Nail Technology & Design. One of Viv’s greatest achievements in her career is her Australian Team that she mentored and trained. Viv was rewarded with watching them grow and develop into Multi Award Winning Nail Artists and Educators.
Akzents Certified Educators (ACE)
An ACE is an Akzentz Certified Educator. These individuals have been thoroughly selected and assessed for their skills and experience in the industry allowing them to provide quality education to their students. ACE are often present at trade shows across their region and continue to achieve excellence in their careers as high quality educators.
Anjanette Bartlett is a Certified Nail Technician of 13 years. In 2009 she joined #TeamAkzentz. She is the only Akzentz Certified Educator (A.C.E.) and authorized distributor in the Bahamas. She is the owner of Harmony Nail Studio the only 100% gel only nail salon located is Freeport, Grand Bahama, Bahamas.
She has proudly educated many Nail Technicians on the Island of Grand Bahama and Nassau and continues to set the standard in quality service on the Island
Ashley Weightman, salon owner of AW Designs Salon has been working in the beauty industry for over 10 years. She received her initial training and licenses as a cosmetologist in the United States perfecting her skills at several salons and day spas in Oregon.
After marrying and moving to British Columbia, Ashley’s passion for creating nails and nail art sparked her interest in Akzentz Professional Nail Products. She represented the company in several of the Canadian Nail Cup competitions and was a recognized finalist in the 3D gel art category. Her nails have been showcased in Seventeen Magazine as well as in online articles on Cosmo.com.
Ashley’s enthusiasm for Akzentz products has led her to join the Akzentz team as an Akzentz ACE Educator and share her knowledge and the latest trends with her clients and fellow professionals.
Owner of Envy Nail Bar in Northeast Ohio, Bekee Mozzillo discovered her passion for nails after nearly 13 years of a successful nursing career. Her devotion to learning has led her from coast to coast seeking to better herself and elevate the nail industry through quality education, sharing ideas, and building relationships with other nail professionals. Until she was introduced to Akzentz, she didn’t know it was possible to sculpt gel extensions that were as strong as acrylic and even more beautiful. She fell in love with the ease and versatility of the entire line almost instantly and is now thrilled to share her skills and knowledge and to represent Akzentz as an ACE Educator.
Chelsey Labossiere has been a licensed Nail Technician for over 7 years. Immediately after receiving her license, she continued her education with multiple nail classes provided by Akzentz. Chelsey has enjoyed and learned so much working with Gina Silvestro at Gel Essentialz. She decided to follow her dreams and further her career and now owns Sii Bello Nail Studio and Glitter Boutique in Johnston, Rhode Island. Sii Bello is a gel only studio and Chelsey is proud to offer only Akzentz products to her clientele. She is grateful for everything she has learned and believes that continuing education is very important. As an Akzentz A.C.E. Educator she now plans to offer classes in her studio so that she can teach her fellow nail technicians all the wonderful things she knows and loves about Akzentz Products.
Christina Wong is the owner of Studio7Pro and distributor for Akzentz in Singapore and Malaysia.
She got into the industry after hand-modelling for her award winning sister, Catherine Wong in competitions and editorial work. Christina also had the opportunity to train with the best nail artists and industry greats including Tom Holcomb, Tom Bachik, Alisha Rimando, Trang Nguyen, Gina Silvestro and Viv Simmonds.
Christina worked alongside Catherine in distribution, education and publication for 6 years including organizing nail competitions, international training events, trade shows and working with local salons, and has seen all aspects of the nail business in action daily. Personally she has competed and won 3rd place in Hong Kong nail competition in 2010. Her work has been featured in NailPro Magazine’s November 2015 issue.

Claire Desaulniers, Owner of Accent & Expression Professionnelle, distributor for Akzentz products in Quebec and Maritimes since 2013. I’m a certified technician and educator for most nail health and enhancement techniques, manicure, pedicure and a certified professional make-up artist. I have been active in the beauty industry for over 15 years. I began my educator career in an accredited professional beauty institute in 2003 where I enjoyed my passion for education and for nail enhancement. I worked in the private sector where I develop and managed the nail product segment, established the nail technician education program for students and new educators. I really like sharing my knowledge and my experience. I am an eternal student and strongly believe in continuous education and development. My natural language is French. I’m very proud of being part the amazing Akzentz family.
Hailing from Lincoln, R.I., former salon owner, and nail technician Danielle Costantino has made a name for herself in the industry. After letting her business go and working alongside one of the most talented names in the industry, Akzentz I.C.E. Educator Gina Silvestro, she uncovered her artistic calling. Working in Gina’s salon, she absorbed everything. She developed her technique, grew her loyal clientele, and worked nonstop until she received an amazing opportunity to compete to be NAILS Magazines ‘Next Top Nail Artist’. Danielle seized the opportunity and excelled each week securing the most votes several weeks in a row. From 1000s, to 24, to 12, to 3, Danielle was named a Finalist. Her passion, love of art, pursuit of perfection, and social media savvy have propelled her career and popularity. Danielle started educating independently in 2015, and fell in love with it. She is so excited to join the Akzentz family as an A.C.E. Educator. Her curiosity makes her an eternal student. Traveling far and wide to learn and train with the most talented in the world. Danielle is a firm believer in continuing education. Together with Akzentz, Danielle hopes to spread her passion and knowledge to other hungry minds around the globe. Elizabeth Morris is the owner and host The Nail Hub podcast. Her passion for nails started at a very young age. With a background in Finance and a love of sculptured gel nails, Elizabeth enjoys using her beauty and business acumen to help other nail professionals improve their skills and their businesses. She teaches group classes regularly and also provides one-on-one training. Elizabeth personally loves Japanese style nail art, 3D designs and loves working exclusively with gel. Her fume-free salon helps educate consumers about their options with the quality and luxury of Akzentz gel. Originally from Pocatello, ID Elizabeth has lived in numerous countries, states, and cities. She speaks English and Spanish fluently. “I am very proud to be part of the amazing Akzentz team.”
Erica Chan is a celebrity nail artist in Singapore with over 12 years of experience in the nail industry. She has won multiple awards in nail competitions in Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Korea and Australia and has also judged for international nail competitions. She currently runs a salon and academy representing Akzentz products and has been an Akzentz ACE Educator since 2009.

Glenda Bradford has been working in the Beauty Industry since 1993 as a Nail Technician. Glenda started educating with Akzentz in 2003 and then went on to become an ACE a few years later. Jackie began her nail career in Rhode Island 8 years ago specifically honing her skills with Akzentz gel nail products. Jennifer is a certified nail technician and an educator having been in the nail industry for over 15 years. She is the proud owner of Gel Indulgence in Leduc, Alberta, Canada. Jennifer’s passion for nails grows each passing year as she continues to strive to reach her goals and learn more in this fascinating nail industry we’ve all fallen in love with. Jess Puan has been an award winning nail artist, educator and salon owner for nearly 10 years. She loves educating others on the importance of quality product and service combined. Her passion and skills were developed quickly as she excelled in the competition circuit, learning from the best nail artists including her mentor Catherine Wong (Singapore).
She has won 19 places in international competitions including a Grand Champion title in Australia in 2012. Jess has been regularly featured in Singapore variety shows for nail talk. Her missions in the nail business include increasing awareness that education is the key to any success and helping both her students and clients achieve great results.
Jessica has been educating with Akzentz for over 10 years, traveling across the country to do classes in salons and at trade shows. In 2010 she created the NW Nail Retreat and co-coordinates 4 days of education and training for 125 nail technicians. She makes a point to support nail techs by educating at the Willamette Event in Oregon as well as the Nail Tech Event of the Smokies in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Her passion for gels has helped her create techniques that are easy for beginners to produce nails that are long lasting and keep clients loyal. Signature services like her “30 Day Manicure,” Rock Star toes and Glitter Fade techniques excite nail techs passionate about enhancing their careers with nails that can be done in the salon in a reasonable amount of time producing excellent profits. Jess is also an organizer and educator in the “Nail Those Profits at Sea” cruises.
Jodie is a Journeyperson Qualified Nail Technician. Since 2009 she has been creating beautiful nails set apart from the rest with her passion for art and design. Jodie firmly believes and teaches the most important part of a beautiful set of nails starts with the foundation and proper structure of a sculpted nail. Jodie’s skill and high degree of education are very sought after as her reputation for beautiful functional nails is well known throughout Saskatchewan. She loves to share with her clients and students. Jodie continuously upgrades her education to stay current as she believes this is key to a successful career as an Akzentz A.C.E. Educator. Two of Jodie’s nail designs have been published in NailPro magazine.
Kelsey is a passionate nail artist who loves everything about nails from creating to teaching. She wanted to be a nail artist from the young age of 6 years old when Gina Parker Wallace painted Casper on her little nail. Her passion for the industry led her to pursue her dream career path in cosmetology. In 2007 Kelsey began school with a specific focus on nails. In 2013 she opened CoCo Marie’s Lacquer Lounge & Beautique, in Downtown Cocoa, FL, where she has been building a formidable brand since. In 2015 she became an educator for Akzentz and enjoys growing her knowledge by learning and teaching. In June 2016 Kelsey entered a 3D competition in The Premiere Orlando Show, where she placed 5th for her creative work. She also enjoys satisfying her customers and building her clientele by providing continued stellar service.
Kinga is an award winning Nail Artist and Journeyperson Qualified Educator. Since 2006, she has been creating nails with a passion for design and quality. She offers her Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trades Accredited Training Program and various Nail Art Workshops on all levels throughout Canada.
Kinga’s work has been published several times in NailPro. To date, Kinga has appeared in the UK leading nail magazine Scratch, placing 6 times in their ongoing photographic competitions, as well as in the Swedish nail magazine Naglar winning 1st place in their 30′-40′ Hollywood Style Nails Competition in 2012. She then placed 3rd in the Golden Hands Competition in 2013
Her goal is to individually create everyone’s unique nails for any occasion using only quality products and to offer quality one-on-one and group training with selected, high end products.
Adelaide based salon owner, Tafe Educator and Award winning A.C.E. Educator, Kirsty Crouch has been working with Akzentz since 2009.
In the past 16 years Kirsty has accumulated a vast amount of knowledge, skills, accolades and accomplishments. Training under some of the most elite nail artists worldwide, Kirsty has used her talent to win multiple awards over the years and now spends her time sharing this with fellow nail artists and students. Kirsty’s work has been published in trade magazines over the years and has produced some award winning posters. Kirsty continues to up-skill at any opportunity so that she can share her passion for this industry and gel nails with everyone she comes in contact with.
Lana Gavric has been an ACE Educator since 2003, she shares her knowledge and passion for nails with nail technicians worldwide. Participating at various tradeshows and networking events, Lana is always able to show new trends and techniques in the nail industry. Her greatest satisfaction is to see her students become successful professionals
Liliana Byce has been a Licensed Cosmetologist since 2012. She started her career wanting to learn Japanese Nail art when she came across Akzentz products. Akzentz has since become her favorite product line. She is constantly keeping up with current nail education in order to improve herself and help other Nail Artists do the same as well.
Lisa’s career in the nail industry has spanned decades, with 2016 marking her 30th year. She earned acclaim and success early on with 1st place nods in 5 local nail competitions. As her artistry and talent developed, she knew that continued education would be her secret to great success. She takes every opportunity to expand her knowledge through participation in classes and events. By becoming an Akzentz Educator and a Swarovski Crystal Culture Educator in 2014, Lisa has been able to bring her goal to educate and develop new nail technicians to fruition. She has taught numerous Pro-Formance Gel classes and participated in several Beauty Expo events. Teaching and mentoring young people through her knowledge and expertise in the industry is second to none for her. Her passion and love for creating beautiful nails has brought a lifetime of fulfillment which she strives to bring to others.
Mano Angers has been in the Nail Industry for over 28 years. She is also the owner of Mano’s Nail Shack in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. A key to a big part of her success is her need to strive for more, always involved in continuous education, and always keeping track with the latest trends. As a result, Mano is renowned among her students and clients for her exclusive nail art, which stands out from the rest. She enjoys sharing her expertise by teaching new nail technician as well as advanced technicians, interested in going to the next level. As an authorized Akzentz distributor, an Akzentz Certified Educator (ACE) – as well as the owner of Gellipop – she has over a decade of experience in the nail art and distribution industry, catering to the American and Japanese demographics with her bilingual skills.
